weekend recap....

Friday
Friday night Jeffrey and I had "Date Night."  My Mom and Dad (Mimzy and Buddy) came over to watch Libs while we went to Longhorns - sooooo good!  Did I mention that they brought a basket of balls with them?  Libbi was thrilled :) She also got a new pair of Elmo Slippers earlier that day at Target....it was a goooood day in her book ;0)

Saturday
Saturday morning Jeffrey had a tennis match, so Libbi and I were on our own.  We went up to the Farmer's Market to get Jeffrey some 'maters and discovered that there was also a Music Festival going on at the Town Center.  We walked around for a little while after picking up the basket of 'maters and checked out all the booths and musical acts.  We decided that we would come back later with Jeffrey.  We stopped at Chick-fil-a on the way home and then we both took a nap. ;0)
When Libbi woke up, Jeffrey was home from tennis, so we all loaded up and went back up to Town Center.  We mostly just walked around and people watched.  We took Libbi up to a semi-deserted part of the park so she could get out and run around.  I sat on the grass and "supervised" while Jeffrey chased after her.  When we got home, it was time for the Dawgs to play.....*sigh*......it's just not their year. :(
Libbi and I both went to bed early and Jeffrey stayed up late to watch more football (per our usual Saturday night routine - ha!)

don't worry....Jeffrey was right next to her, you just can't see him because of the balloon...

Sunday
We woke up early for church and we were out the door in record time.  Libbi has been doing great with nursery drop-off; no tears, no clinging, she just goes right in.  It has really been such a relief and Jeffrey and I have been able to enjoy the service so much more knowing that she is content.  When we went to pick her up, we just had to laugh.  I wish I would have had my camera.  All of the other kids were either playing with the toys or being held by a nursery volunteer.  But, not our girl.  No way.  She was reclined back in the "Teacher's Chair" keeping an eye on everyone. Oh boy, do we have our hands full :)
When we got home, it was so nice outside that we stayed out for just a bit.

Libbi is so funny when she runs these days, because she totally "leads" with her head.  Hopefully she'll grow out of that :)
The rest of the day, we were just completely lazy.  Libbi took a nap.  I took a nap.  We all stayed in our pajamas all day.  I clipped coupons and we had Zaxby's for supper.  It's funny how a lazy day of doing nothing makes you so tired - ha!  We were all worn out so we went to bed early (which seems to be a recurring theme of our weekend....)

I am so thankful for our family time and for the relaxing weekend that we had!  (Even though our living room looks like an episode of "Hoarders")
What can I say???  Libbi plays hard. :)
